Exploring Wireframing and Design for a Book Reading App to Integrate Manual, Digital, and Audiobook Experiences into One Application for the Reading Community.
I use a specific reading application daily, but its poor UX makes it incredibly frustrating. The issues are so prominent that I felt compelled to redesign it. As its most frequent user, I knew the pain points firsthand and was ready to channel my frustration into Figma for a better solution.
Situation
I’m not hired by this company, so this redesign is just for fun. Rather than a complication, it’s an opportunity to explore creative solutions freely without business or platform constraints. This freedom allows me to experiment, push boundaries, and design without limitations, making the process both exciting and rewarding.
Complication
Through wireframing and mapping, I designed a new app, exploring various features, menu placements, navigation patterns, and potential developments. This process allowed me to experiment with innovative solutions, improve usability, and refine the app’s overall structure to create a more seamless and engaging user experience.
Resolution
Wireframing the new app including home page, search experience, profile page and book page along with mapping a new information architecture
